Welcome! I am a philosopher, ethicist, and fiction writer. Find out more about my background here.

My scholarly work focuses on big moral questions surrounding public health and new technologies like AI. I am especially concerned with how individuals and governments ought to act—say, in the face of a pandemic, or in light of the large-scale societal adoption of AI tools like LLMs or deepfakes. My academic articles have been published in numerous international peer-reviewed journals (see my publications here).

My fiction investigates the complexities of human existence through concepts like time, memory, mortality, moral growth, communication, self-reflection, and the search for meaning in life. I explore themes like suffering and compassion, regret and a desire for self-improvement, uprootedness and the need for belonging, the limits of human understanding, and our relationship with other animals and the natural world.

My stories have appeared or are forthcoming in literary journals like ANMLY, Chicago Quarterly Review, Epiphany, L’Esprit Literary Review, Massachusetts Review, Maudlin House, MoonPark Review, North American Review, and The Spotlong Review. I was a finalist in Fugue’s 2025 Prose Contest, and my fiction has been nominated for anthologies like Best Small Fictions 2026 (3x) and Best Microfiction 2026 (1x). Read my stories here.

I am currently working on a debut short story collection as well as a novel.
